Koivusaari concept

The proposal for Kpivusaari area is a multi-purpose building which contains metro,bus terminals,shops, restaurants and hotel under one roof. The aim of the project is to connect green plato with busy transport spot and also to separate them. It is designed as a barrier, where hotel rooms and public terraces orientired to sunny side and become part of the landscape and from the other side building forms town square with vertical facade, covering noisy bus stops at ground level.

Diploma project. Residential complex on Smolnaya embankment , St.-Petersburg, Russia

Situated on the embankment of the Neva river in the center of Saint-Petersburg, being surrounded with several respectful puplic organizations, building site was used for multifuctional residential area for upper-middle class who would highly appreciate valuable features of the area.

Plenty of trees, what is rare case for such busy area effect strongly on the structure and plastic shape of the building so it perfectly fits in the natural environment. The project was designed to save all valuable trees.
All territory of complex is pedestrian area, cars parking all underground.
Complex consists of living sections united by underground parking and ground floor stylobate. Stylobate includes main gallery with reception, second floor of sport center and halls with elevators. It is also possible to get in the evevator straight from parking place one floor below.
Main gallery as well as parking are green and lighted by daylight provided by multilevel gardens passed through underground and ground floors and divided 1 floor terrace into private and public gardens.
